It was more of what I’ve come to expect from the Wachowski brothers – very stylish visually but it tries too hard to be serious in the political sense and clever verbally.

Does anybody know why Alan Moore chose to have his name taken off this project other than general disgust with what happened before when movies were made based on his material?

That could just read: Natalie Portman = HAWT! Bald, with a wig, wearing an old school hairnet style cycling helmet.... whatever. She's an attractive woman. AND Harvard educated. That's even hotter.

Alan Moore no longer wants his name attached to anything done by hollywood to his comics because in the past they have totally buggered them up. League of Extraordinary Gentlemen for example
