I have an old Giant Cadex MTB frame laying around that I was going to build up as a singlespeed but suddenly have an urge to convert to a cyclocross project bike. I figure on running 26" wheels so the brakes will line up etc. However I am in the dark somewhat about all the other stuff.
What gearings are recommended? Where should I be going on the geometry? tires? shifters?
Am I correct in thinking that a cyclocross bike is nearer the geometry of a mountain bike than a road bike.
Any info would be most welcome.
