hey everyone, i just got a hardtail mt bike a few days ago (my first bike since a bmx bike in junior high). just starting to get into trails and general xc stuff, but i plan on being a fair-weather commuter too.
this morning i made my first commute into work. it's right around 6 miles, and it was a perfect morning to make the ride. i'm excited to learn as much as i can here. i've been lurking for a while, learning about what to buy and gaining a general familiarity with bikes. i found a sweet deal (i think) on craigslist for a bike built on a brand new Access frame with a rockshox SID fork, avid bb5 brakes and shimano deore/lx drivetrain for $350. everything seems to be working fine after a small adjustment to the front derailleur.
