View Full Version : Landing
I see some jumps on trails (pics on htis forum) with pretty steep landings. How are you setting up for your landings? Are you pitching down the front end to land even with the down slope on both wheels? Doesn't this increase the odds of going over the bars? I'm still having trouble getting myself to pitch the front end down. Feels like a scary endo.

try landing front tire right before the back

ya thats mainly so you can keep your speed for the next jump or so it not so hard when you land. but on speed jumps are not made for air and they do not have such a steep landing.

at first it can be little scary. if you land completely horizontal or rear tire lower than the front you'll probably loop out

I figured everyone adjusted to the jumps naturally. Just spot the landing and keep control of the bike. It shouldn't be that hard. If not then keep practicing

Steeper landings give your more speed for the next jump.
Help nosediving:::
1) pull your back brakes.
2) just tuck up more
3) try to get your back tire to hit your butt (but dont go that far)
4) whip out a bit, if your not going fast enough...
