Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

OK I know someone will probably get mad at me for doing this but... I'm in the process of creating a web page for mountain bikers. I'm in need of some bike ride/crash stories. I have a few of my own but need some more. If you could write a story about your ride or crash and e-mail it to me that would be great. If you could include a picture that would be better.
I would also like for you to include a nick name (or real name) along with an e-mail address. If you want you can include your city and state (I will only post your name, e-mail, and state)
Thanks so much.

i was coming down a hill when i pinch flatted on a small (like very small but extremly resiliant) rock and lost control. The bike went sideways in the turn and next thing i know i was 15 feet down a hillside looking up at my bike which had a nice crack in the downtube and seat tube.. sucked..

A couple of years ago, I was riding a downhill section at the Tsali Trails in NC. I was flying down the hill and having a blast, literally, my front tire blows instantly and I'm riding the rim completely out of control. I got launched into a large rock and endoed HARD. Somehow, I unclipped and hurdeled the bars (and the rock) on my way over. I managed to land on my feet, just in time for my friend who was behind me to slam right into me and my bike. We both went down laughing!! We ended up on top of each other with a yard sale of parts strewn the 15-20 feet down the trail as we tumbled along. The worst part was that in the aftermath, we only had enough pieces and parts for one complete working bike. He rode out, I huffed the disabled bike back to the camp. Now the best part, I just bought an inverter 12v to 120v, on the way out, I met a couple that were looking for a place to plug in their blender!! Margarita Time!! Bad bike, good drinks, new friends,..... fun for all!! That's what it's all about!!!!
