Track Cycling - pedals/shoes

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
i might be doing some track racing this summer at new england velodrome. (http://www.leadcycling.com/) i have a bike which should be suitable (if not, they have loaners) but i don't have clipless pedals or shoes. what ones would you reccomend for the track?

Suggestions:
1) At least look at the thread titles on the first page or 2..you will see 5 threads directly talking about pedals.
2) Speedplay x, Speedplay Zero, Spd-R, SPD-SL, Look, Time Atac, Eggbeaters,Clips and straps.

Whatever road system your using will be fine and that what people use at my local track. Specialist pedal systems are only required at elite level and when you get to that level you don't need to ask so whatever you have is fine.

I plan on heading to the NE Veledrome for the first time this spring too. Have you been to past seasons?
i haven't, i just started riding fixed gear on the road this year, which led me to an interest in track racing. hopefully, i'll be coming this summer with a few friends. hope to see you there!
