I'm currently building a project bike that I'd like to use as a "cross" bike, ie; road, all-season, and light trail use (not serious MTB-I have that bike already). All my parts have come from Nashbar, Pricepoint, or are used as I'm trying to keep the price as low as possible while maintaining decent quality (azonic, ritchey, shimano, xt components, Tomac, etc...). Question is which set of wheels to buy. I've seen sets on the previously mentioned sites for as low as $69 but am worried about the quality. I'm a bigger rider (6'2" 250#) and just want a cheap set of wheels that will hold up to easier riding. I see Sun/Rhynolite, Araya, Shimano, Bontrager, Mavic, Gipenimme, Weinamen, and Ukai with different spoke counts and hubs. Also, disc brakes aren't a concern-I'm using V's. Any recommendations regarding which brand would be most appropriate for my application would be appreciated.
