Hi,
I'm 49 years old, I've been riding for two and a half years and I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. I can clearly see that the world of cycling that I don't know is far bigger than the world that I do know. I enjoy learning about how other people ride, and how they improve their riding. I began by cycling alone for about six months and gradually become more comfortable riding with other guys. For the first time since I began riding, I have fantasies about racing, but don't want to ruin the sport for myself. I am very competitive with my own best efforts and find myself reaching for the front of the pack or at least trying to figure out where the front of the pack is and whether or not I can ride with them whenever I'm in a group. This Winter, I cycled on an indoor bicycle following a training regimen. I have never felt better. I have recently begun to coach my 20 year old daughter from couch to indoor cycle. Next challenge for her and me is to get her out on the road. My goals are to become increasingly fit, increasingly adept, a good coach, an ambassador at large for cycling, and to use my car less and less. I'd be pleased to make your acquaintance.
Jim
p.s. my screen name comes from one of my hobbies, beekeeping.
