:) New member to this forum as of just now! Looking forward to learning more about road bikes...I had riden a Trek Mountain bike before but never really got into wrenching with it that much...I just recently bought a Cannondale R800 and a Specialized Allez...The Cannondale is for personal pleasure and the Specialized is to rebuild and learn from...I got a really good deal on the Specialized but it does need some work...Last couple nights I've worked on taking of the whole rear brake assembly and restoring the screws/washers, cleaning mechnical parts, lubing...Last night put a new Bontrager handlebar tape (came out okay for the first time). Now I'm going to work on restoring the front brakes, cleaning the chain (looks like s***), replacing front stem, bottom bracket, front derailler...Any advice on replacing these things? I also noticed yesterday that the front fork doesn't rotate freely...Is this okay? Do I have to lub some parts within the fork?
