Classic & Vintage - DIY bike-to-work day

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. The gang at work hadn't seen the 1959 Capo since the repaint and rebuild, so I rode it to work today.

Nice. I asked because it looks kind of similar to the setup I have on an early 80's Puch Mistral SLE that I use for daily commuting:
Mid 90's Campagnolo Veloce 53/42 crankset & cartridge BB
Campagnolo 980 derailleurs
Campagnolo barends
Campagnolo Record hubs
Early 90's Sachs 13 -23 freewheel
Wippermann nickel plated chain
... Campagnolo 980 derailleurs ...
I am trying to figure out precisely which rear derailleur I have.

Can you post a close up pic? Maybe I or someone else here could ID it.
Thanks Nick. Can you tell from this picture? I'll try to get a closeup of the rear derailleur.
Edit: Good call, Nick. I think it is a 980, presumably from the early 1980s. Next time I have the rear wheel off, I'll look for a date code on the back of the derailleur body.

It looks an awful lot like a 980 from that picture, but if I'm not mistaken there was another derailleur they made around the same time period that was similar in appearance to the 980. Its model name slips my mind right now though.

The CAPO company was founded by former professional rider, **** CAP. At the end of his career he claimed the highest success of Austrian road racing athletes in association with his brother Walter and compatriate Max Bulla:
Word Championship Budapest 1928
5th place Walter CAP Austria
6th place Max BULLA Austria
7th place **** CAP Austria

Until the end of 1970 CAPO's production covers all kinds of bicycles ranging from road racing bikes to folding bikes to juvenile bikes.
Export activities included high-end road racing bikes assembled with Campagnolo components and delivered to USA.
