Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Apparently Chrome bags have a new all-black messenger back with a black buckle instead of the (chrome) silver standard. Has anyone seen this yet? Good for ninjas.
Also, their knickers on the website are sold out except for size small. Who knew such expensive pants could be so sought-after? Does anyone have a pair that would like to share a review?
And why must they have these pants in sizes up to, at the largest, a 37" waist? What's up with that? I'm a size 38 for now and it bothers me that I'm an "XXL" or not even on the radar for this retailer. Big folks get no respect

maybe cause people with waists that big dont ride much and are a very very small part of Chrome's market..........which btw is primarily guys like me with waist sizes smaller than our inseams, I dont mean to be rude, but it is true nonetheless, you wont see any big or fat messengers last very long, job doesnt allow it........ive seen a few try, never seen any last more than a week or two.........I thought I was average at 6ft and 193 lbs when I started, now im 157lbs, and I fought losing the weight as much as I could, waist went from a 32" down to my highschool size of 29"........the messenger biz is brutal and honest, as are the companies that market to us

I ride every day, when I was a size 40 waist in high school it was much harder for me to endure a long ride one day a week. If big folks had better clothes and could feel like they're "cool" like the lil skinny dudes, I think they'd have more of an insentive to ride a bike and eventually become a skinny dude if they wish and work hard enough. Until there are more people ditching their cars for a bike as primary transportation, Chrome will probably always make those sizes.
