Any RSS junkies?

RSS was one of those things I'd heard of, but really didn't know exactly what it was. It was one of those things on my "to check out" list that I hadn't got around to yet.

Not until about a month ago that is....a co-worker showed me a great new RSS reader program he liked and through seeing it, I kinda saw what RSS was all about. I immediately wanted the program and to start playing with it.

To sum up for those who may not have started, RSS is a mechanism to get quick headlines from certain "feeds" (topic based). Whatever program you use, you essentially have your "subjects of interest" broken up and if a new article is posted in that subject you get link to the article (and possibly a summary too).

It's a fantastic way to keep up with certain topics you are intersted in all the time.

So...in the last month I think I've become an RSS junkie. Am I alone or are there others out there?

I don't use an RSS reader, but I do keep a few RSS feeds in the Bookmarks Toolbar of Firefox. BBC News, Slashdot, MSNBC... it's cool technology.

It's a fairly simple concept. Instead of pulling the content of an entire webpage, you only get the basic parts. The website just has to supply that content in the RSS format.

No I'm not an RSS junkie. Never tried it.

I'm an RSS Junkie - use Pluck on my desktop, and Egress on my Pocket PC.

Wouldn't be without it.

I have seen the RSS feature on many newssites. I am not very familiar with it.

Somehow I thought it was designed for getting news on mobile instrument.
