exile on main street is pretty much the best album ever
Sure, Exile, but they're old now. Do you think they still rock, and why?

they definitely became a singles band
to the chagrin of their great albums like sticky fingers, exile, beggars, let it bleed, goats head soup, and some girls
but exile is simply the best album front to back

If I was stuck on an island and could only take 1 record , OK 2,
It would be Exile.
Ron Wood wrecked the Stones sound.
Ron Wood wrecked the Stones sound.
I agree, I liked Mick Taylor and Brian Jones better than Ron Wood. Bill Wyman's been out of the band for a while now, also.
Saw Mick Taylor and John Mayall perform live at some club in Huntington Beach, CA back in the 80's, don't even remember the year, don't think I even could. Went primarily to see Mayall. Taylor was pretty good too.;) I guess Mick was a bit to musical for the Stones.
Mayall did it all on Jazz Blues Fusion with Blues Mitchell and an all star cast. I think Joe Sample was on that album. Also Freddie Robinson was doing some sweet things on the guitar.
