No, you're not alone. I'm a big fan, at least I was in my younger days. Haven't returned to FW in quite some time. I believe the man was a genius.

Listed in "The Varieties of Religious Experience" as a way to attain noetic insight. You're not alone. One of my favorite books, and some of the rythms and experimental language harkens back to Irish prehistory in their lyrical poetry. I could go on for an entire page of this thread, but I already wrote a term paper on this,(stoned,) and got an A+ :) Joyce is my all-time favorite author. Of course, Stephen King's up their too. I also enjoy opera and pro wrestling. Perhaps I'm mad.
