I'm nursing a broken right hand right now, it is very sore right now. It especially stinks if the hand you broke was your dominate hand, my right hand.

That sucks, doesn't sound like your guitar will be weeping for a while. Thankfully, I've never had a broken hand *knock on wood*.
Did that back in 80. had a plate put in and it's still there. Was tough riding when it was broken.
I'm in a similar boat. Broken right collar bone and I'm right handed too. How long will you have to stay off the bike. The doc says 8-12 weeks for me and I've only got 2 weeks behind me so far. I'm thinking 6 may be enough.

Broken anything sucks! Hope it gets better quick. I broke my hand riding a horse (hit the horse in the neck on a bad jump). I didn't tell anybody because I wanted to keep riding. Ended up having surgery a few months later because it didn't set right. Stupid. Take care and let it get better.

I'm 1 week in and have 6 weeks left. Thanks for the words.

Awww, poor Danka! Do you need a little TLC (Trollie Loving Care)?
Heal up quick, boyfriend, and remember, I like a man with a slow hand.
I recently broke a bone in my right hand and had a splinted pinky for about 3 weeks. It wasn't just not being able to ride the bike (I also hurt my back), but the stupid inconveniences: not being able to open jars or bottles or cans, not being able to clean up the house decently (yes it was nice too, but the place went to hell), and worst, not being able to put gloves on my hand when it was getting cold out! And having to put a plastic bag on my hand in the shower, all that stuff. It was just a big fat annoyance, so I sympathize. Of course, we all know it could be so much worse, but it's still a real drag.

Broken bones suck! I know, I've had my share (Not all at the same time luckily):
Right hand, 3 broken fingers, two broken twice, one thumb
Left hand, 2 fingers
Left Shoulder
Ribs, about 4 maybe 5
Ankles, both
Toes, too many to remember.
Not to mention two concusions, and the deteriorated cartilage in both knees.
Currently Healthy, but will probably crash tonight on my way home!

That sucks man. I hope the pain is not to bad.
Strange. Several cyclists have their bones broken simultaneously.
Hmm...
