does it really help braking significantly, and if so how should i do it.

The pads i just got are Kool-stop eagle claw II's (salmon)

I dont think it would...

But i dont know...

If your having trouble with your brakes sand your rims and put simple green on them.
Or just do one of those two things...

If boiling the brake pads worked the makers would do it and advertise the fact. They don't so I doubt it works. Still one empirical test is worth a thousand suppositions. Please do it to one of a pair of pads, install them and drop down some long hard hills wih a full touring load then tell us what the pads look like, please. :)

Dont risk wasting or ruining your new brakepads, just sand your rim and or use some Simple Green.

Yes, it works. It also makes new grips feel realy nice and soft(if you boil them).

they dont...simple green kind of sticks to the pads and then dirt sticks to the pads, making them blow
