'04 Cannondale Cyclocross????

What do you think of the 2004 C'dale cyclocross for cc racing. It's triple butted Optimo, with Giemmpeme (sp) wheels. I've used it as a road miler for the past two years. I put some "flatadillo" 28s and a lighter seat and hammered away the miles. Now, a friend wants me to actually race the thing with him. He rides an old Klein, that's been around the track many times. Original question: what do you think of the frame and wheels on this Cannondale? Is the combo strong enough? Will it hold up?
