For me......Clif bars, gel, grapes, prunes, and good old fig newtons. Sometimes I long for a ham sandwich.
Incidentally, exercise is sometimes touted as lowering your appetite.....never works for me. Around mile 40 I start daydreaming of real food.

Well, fellow BF'ers, having posted the above thread title on "P breaks", I thought better of it and deleted the text of my thread changing it for a sensible food thread (asking about favorite foods on the bike...talk about anomalies!) only to discover the text I could change-- but not the thread title. I fear I've made it worse. Oh well, the mods know where I live; they can send out goons or exile me to San Diego. Respond to whatever you wish...I truly am curious about food on bike. The other can stay private.

I'm sure you must have meant "pea" break. Fresh peas are a delight on a bicycle ride. They have a delicious taste and store easily in your wedge.

I once stopped to explore an area on foot, hiding my bike in the woods by the road. It had started getting dark when I returned and was even darker in the pines where I had left the bike. I'll never know how close I might have gotten to the bike while feeling around in those dark woods. It was almost completely black by the time I gave up the search and the briars and brambles were a nightmare to negotiate while getting back to the road. It was a dark, lonely road and all I could think about as I walked along was the possibility of snakes lying on the pavement to warm up. After a couple of miles, a passing motorist gave me a ride most of the way home. I returned the next day and went right to the bike leaning against the tree where I had left it. Okay, maybe this isn't exactly like either definition for this thread. However, it is the worst riding break of any kind I have had or ever hope to have.

Following is the original question...now BF gets a double-header on one thread:

OK, inspired by another current thread [his initials are B(ig) P(aulie)], tell us about how you do "it"-- and, no, I don't mean THAT. Every long rider and many short riders have found it necessary and usually at the most inopportune times.

So, unburden yourself here, relieve yourself if-you-will, of any story you've been carrying around wanting to share but were stopped up by inhibition. We're all coming out. Let the flood of revelation begin. Me later

P.S. Koffee, have a heart, when you are our age--even if you are a girl and particularly so-- you'll understand this pressing problem. In fact, you may also add a story if you wish.

P.P.S. I realize this thread may just be just a squirt that dribbles out and is in bad taste. Not a problem and my apologies if offensive. DeeGee put me up to this but he should not be blamed...San Diego is a groovy place where anything goes.

For once, and you can all thank me later, I'm speechless. :o

This is a piker thread compared to the infamous "smile-while-riding-a-particular-saddle" thread started by a young lady several years ago!

Now there was a classic thread.

You will have to work hard to top that one.

The lady even asked me if it was ok to post a "personal" thread. I said ok - there was nothing we couldn't discuss on BFN. Wow, was I surprised.

The thread was deleted. I wish I had saved it and posted it to my website.
