Well, I have been expecting it, and its here :( Im stuck. 4 weeks and 15 pounds. I lost it rather quickly and didnt try. I slipped into Mcdonalds and hit them up for a Double cheeseburger and a value Fry. I must say, it all tasted like a salt block. My lips were puckered afterwards. I have not been craving food like that much at all and I havnt cheated on Junk.

Hopefully this may kickstart my body. Ill admit, it was good but I didnt have that mouth watering lust for it like a couple months ago.

Interesting concept. How many miles a month do you ride? I have progressively upped the mileage the last few months to get ready for the upcoming season, and I'm down about 14 pounds since last fall......have another 16-21 pounds to go (would like to shoot for 145-150 pounds). I'm not super strict on my diet - I don't count each calorie per day and eat crap food, but I keep a general consensus of what I take in so I know about where I'm at and making sure I get enough in me to aid in recovery.

You should also start burning off your "winter fat" soon enough as well :)

I think there is something to working off the winter fat. As soon as the weather warmed up here I noticed I lost my appetite. I'm craving fruits and raw vegetables. Perhaps our bodies actually do respond to the seasons.

Well, I dunno, Im back up to 195 today. Stupid, I shoudnt weigh everyday. As for mileage? I ride 45-60 minutes every day on the trainer. I rode 20 miles outside today. I do my shortest loop (16.1 miles in 58 minutes. Im not one of those fast guys. So I try to figure 16 miles a day (thats one hour on the trainer) for myself. I was hoping to keep off that extra poundage. Maybe its water, I had alot of sodium today and yesterday. Im still trying to figure this stuff out. :)

If I ride everyday, I guess you could say I ride 75-100 miles a week? or 400 a month? (estimate) I know trainer mileage aint the same. Watching Sportscenter while Im spinning but hey, I try to keep the ol HR up to around 150-155.

Your doing fine :)
It goes in surges, jumps and starts. Your body weight will fluctuate a few pounds either way.
Just keep eating as well as you can while exercising as much as you can. Keep both at a rate you can handle mentaly without going crazy and it'll happen.

it just happens at a much slower pace than everyone wants

C heath - if you notice my weight loss record it goes up two, down three, or up 1 down 2 week by week. Are you keeping measurements? If you cut sodium for about five days, you'll notice a difference.

It sounds like you are doing great with the mileage. 16 mph is pretty impressive.

Hey, trainer mileage counts, especially if your trainer is like mine. I have a Fluid2 and putting mileage on it is actually more difficult than putting miles on while riding on the road. Give yourself more credit, your working your butt off (literally).

Weighing yourself daily isn't such a bad thing.....if you know about where your weight is, you can determine if you're hydrated enough. I will typically weigh myself in the morning and at night.....and I did so after my ride today. I was down about 2 pounds under what I normally am, so I need to get some water in me.
