So, after several years of thinking about it, I finally bought a bent today. I went down to Urbane Cyclist, and got an HP Velotechnik Street Machine Gte. Apparently a guy from Calgary had been in just before me and test rode it, and really liked it, but he was mulling.

Anyways, I took it for a test ride. Within half a block, someone had yelled at me, "Lazy bones."

I pick it up in a week and a half. I can't wait to ride it.

And don't worry about that guy, he's just mad because he had an uncomfortable saddle up his... :)

WTG. I hope to be following suit in the next 3-4 weeks. Have to make sure we can pay for it first!

Most of the time, a comment like that is meant in good humor. Just smile and give him a thumbs-up.

Funny about that. Ever since I got my bent (my first,) it seems like it's really stretching my capabilities. I might look lazy, but let me tell you, it's been a major workout for me while developing my bent muscles!

Have fun on your new machine. We all know that your lazy bones are comfortable bones too. Enjoy and my the wind always be blowing the dirrection you want to go. peace

It was a woman on a hybrid you yelled "Lazy bones" at me. She said it with a big smile on her face. In fact almost everone I passed looked at me with big smiles. Of course, I had one too.

Paul2 I, too, was just in to Urbane and test rode the Scorpion and the Catrike Speed. I haven''t had so much fun in years. Decisions, decisions! Congrats on your Street Machine. You will have a blast! Mike

A good friend just bought a recumbent. I had let him ride mine a few times last fall, and thought I might have to arm wrestle him to get it back! I rode with him the first time the other day. Didn't think he was ever going to quit - either riding or smiling! You'll never regret it.
