Foo - GPS watch

I bought myself a GPS watch last week, I love and hate it at the same time.the thing is pretty neat, it tells me weather Im biking or running what my pace exactly is and the distance and I can plug it in my computer and it shows my route and how I did every step of the way, It also tells me if Im falling behind my schedule training. The virtual partner is fun but... im getting sick of him telling me Im 5 foot behind him or to speed it up.. I actually get so wrap up in it (Im very competitive) that I will start running before him so that there is no way he's going to catch up to me..hehe.. I forget this is a "virtual" partner and probably look kinda funny when I curse at my watch!

Pretty accurate but.. your pace seems to chan ge an awful lot depending on the landscape, for example hitting a curve or taking a corner too fast seems to mess up the GPS. It's just fun to see how you did on your training route one day to the next and follow your improvement. I really like it but yes, it has it's flaws.

I've tried using one of the older Timex GPS based units will riding my bike. The GPS does do some funny things on curves like you said. It also has variations from my bike computer but these are very short in duration. Over the course of a few miles, the results between the GPS and cycle computer are identical.

lol!!! nope not the one I have, but you get the idea.. mine wasnt as expensive altought i am worth it just my wallet doesnt agree with this statement

i have a garmin legend works great on the bike but no easy way to hold it for running
garmin does make ones for that
I lose tracking under heavy tree cover

I don't run well enough for a toy this nice. The race this morning proved that. When I run this slow I don't need a watch to tell how slow I am -- I can tell by the rush of the wind from the turtles passing on the left.
