Hi everyone,

i went to a bunch of bike shops today, i saw the '05 slayer 70 for 2300, '05 slayer 50 for ~2100, '05 specialized stumpjumper expert for ~2300, '05 norco fluid for 2100, and ironhorse hollowpoint mkiii sport for 2200.

they all ride GREAT. and i am leaning toward the stumpjumper because its XT and XTR parts are pretty good, not to mention fox talas. HOWEVER, the 'interrupted frame' type for stumpjumer kinda disturbs me..........

does this frame type compromise any type of durability? it just looks odd even tho the bike feels alright... i just want a good conventional frame and this one is just, weird.

what bike would u guys choose VALUE wise?

Well correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the Slayer an FR/DH kind of bike while the Stumpjumper is more of a pure racing XC one?

WHat are your riding needs?

if you have the money expert stumpy is a great bike. and dont sweat the frame. it has stood the test of time. and proved itself to be a great xc trailbike.
