Hi Folks,

I was going to make some changes from Grip shift over to STI on my C'dale and was wondering if the following would work: I was going to run w/ Shimano Triple R600 Shifters for my wife (smaller hands than Ultegra), an Ultegra 6603 triple Front Deriealler, An XTR Long Cage rear derieller, a SRAM PG-970 9 spd cassette 11-32 and a Truvavit 53/40/30 crank set. I checked the tooth differential on the shimano web site and it looks like it will work. The biggest concern is the STI shifters and the XTR derieller. What do you guys think? Will I be ok?

Not even a problem.

Shouldn't be a problem. We have a similar set-up (2005 Cannondale road tandem) with Ultegra shifters, 105 FD, long body XT RD, 52/42/30 Truvative Elitra Crank set, and an 11X34 Sram 970 Cassette. It works great. Can't say for sure about the brifters, but I doubt that will be a problem. OHB

That's how my Co Mo came from the factory. My Cdale road had 105 shifters and Deore XR (?) rear der. from the factory. very common approach. Same with the casette and crankset. Pretty much a stock setup.
