I have a Zefal rear rack I want to mount on my Kona JTS. The bottom attaching brackets of the rack appear to be too small for the frame. I can spread them, but then they don't fit flushly.
Do I need a different rack? If so, how do I find one that fits?
I can't just try it, because it came without mounting hardware.
Thanks,
Wayne

What, exactly, doesn't fit to your satisfaction? Generally accessories like rear racks need to be "tweaked" a little to get them fit properly. If it's the lower support legs that you are talking about, just spread them out to match your dropouts and, if you want to get fancy, bend the mounting points with a vise grip or something to get the right angle.

The touring store on line sells a bunch of adapters that might work (they are specific to Tubus) or give you some ideas. Send an email to Wayne and describe your problem, if there's a solution, he probably knows it.

Thanks retro grouch, I'll try that and see how it fits. I still have to get the proper M5 bolts to attach it. And yes, it is the lower support legs that I am talking about. They seem to be very narrow compared with the point where they will mount on my frame.
I'll try it and let you all know.
Thanks,
Wayne
