System of a down syndrome puts me more in the mood to rebel and slit my wrists then to go riding.

I just turn on one of the NWD films for abit.

I don't really need any music to get me pumped to ride, but before most rides I listen to both types of music . Country , AND Western .:D On rainy days I listen to Hip-Hop or Crap(the "C" is silent). Thank God it never rains here in Southern Nevada .

The Barney song.....
How about "Dope - Take Your Best Shot" featured in NWD3 (or 4). Starts off with the Barney song and then Barney gets shot. :D

I rode Farlington (KS) the other day. On the way, I listened to a bit of "The Distance" by Cake. I could really see myself in a race, even though the song's not totally about a race.

I also listened to some Brian Setzer to get my mind into hypermode.

Huey Lewis and the News. Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83,I think they really came into their own, commercial and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consimante professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far much more bitter, cynical sense of humour.
