My name is Jared Verbois, and I'm a 20 year old sophomore from Louisiana State University. After years of wondering why my friends were so enthralled by mountain biking, I've finally gotten into it. Right now I'm riding my dad's old Diamondback Sorrento Sport with Shimano components, but I'm about to buy a bike for myself. I tore my ACL playing soccer, and just had it replaced 4 months ago, so I can't get into biking too heavy right now, but I will be replacing soccer with mountain biking. As much as I love soccer, I don't want to go through all this again. I could use some advice on buying a mountain bike, but I'll post that on another board. Thank God for the internet, and the easy availability of information and opinions from seasoned cyclists. I look forward to the good advice from others, and I will be grateful for the patience with what will definately be many stupid questions on my part.
