General Cycling Discussion - My doctor said the bones are healing ahead of time so...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

They're going to let me ride again on road only, but hey, it's better than sitting around doing nothing.

Glad to hear that you are healing and you are back on the road. Soon enough you can do all of that riding that you enjoy so much.

Heal up soon!
Good Riding!

Just take it easy for a while, though (not that I'd ever advise anyone against riding). You wanna make sure it's 100% before going flat out.

No urban, but I can just bum around and spin easily.

Yeah, take it easy. Just light spins. I know how that goes. Oh, look, a little hill. Maybe I can push it just a little. My legs feel good, my lungs are okay, I could stand and spin. There are some guys I know, what's the harm in a little pace line action.
If you get on the bike you will not be able to hold back...even with pain.

I'm not saying that you shouldn't. I say it's alright to push limits even when you are hurt. It sucks to be off of the bike.
I couldn't stand to be sitting around without spinning. My legs start twitching, my heart jumps and I hope that someone calls and says that they need me to ride with them.

It's an addiction. You need the fix even though you're hurt.

Pad your hand and ride. You're young and will heel in due time.

Now, how many health and herbal riders are going to tell you to take it easy and listen to your doctor. I'll bet your doctor is an overweight, smoking, non-rider that will not understand addictive behavior.

Where did all this come from? I just feel like stirring it up every so often. I can't get off the cycle for very long. I've ridden sick or hurt because the endorphins call. It's my drug of choice.
