Next Sunday ESPN Classic will air "Breaking Away" possibly one of the finest roadie movies made. 9pm eastern standard time.

Thanksgiving Day I caught most of the movie 'American Flyers' while waiting for the family to get ready to head out.I hadn't seen this movie since it came out at the Drive-Inn years ago.I wasn't into cycling then and couldn't tell you I watched it because I was there to drink beer. But NOW after seeing this movie its great! Maybe the script isn't as good as 'Breaking Away' but I thought it was a better cycling movie.Sucked thy announced Eddie Merkx at the start of the race and only flashed his picture.Great cycling shots.I've watched Breaking Away twice this year.I'll pass this time:)

Both American Flyers and Breaking Away are out on DVD. AF has both wide screen and standard formats, you miss some of the action in standard mode though.
