I'm trying to match up some vintage hubs with a set of Super Champion Arc en Ciel rims. I'm aware that the later Super Champion rims had Wolber on the labels as well. My rims do not have Wolber on the label. When did Wolber acquire Super Champion? I've done some research on the web, but haven't found a definative answer.

Are they bare polished or annodized and if annodized what color, and... are the labels decals or stickers, polished probably pre 1975 for sure or the same as made in 1975. Black just a wee bit later, shown at the European shows prior, but nobody hd them. Silver? not so sure, later late 70's or 80's even.

Greetings number6,
The rims are on a FedEx truck and should be in my hands within 24 hours. Not sure of the specifics other than they are NOS black anodized 32 hole beauties. I can post an eBay link or I can post pics tomorrow.
I'm going to mate these rims with an NOS '77 Dura Ace high flanged hubset. To be period correct within a few years is my intention.
From what I gather, Super Champion wheels started carrying a Wolber sticker in the early 80's. 81 or 82.
As a data point, I've seen the Super Champion Gentleman 81 both with + without Wolber markings.
