I just started wearing my new cycling shorts today and I am sliding forward on the seat sometimes, does this normally happen? I have the saddle level, would raising the nose of it help at all? HOw much should I rasie it?

Raise the nose just enough. Carry the wrench with you on your next ride in case it doesn't work out.

Perhaps you're a little stretched out on your bike. You could try diminishing the reach by changing the handlebar angle.

Hah! I've got a slick seat. On the bike, I mean. Elevating the nose worked, but it doesn't take much.
