I was able to post in the introduce yourself forum, but that is the only post I ever got completed. Anybody Know why? It always goes to "This page cannot be displayed."

OK, that made #2, and this makes #3. I can't post in the mountain biking forum to save my life.

Me either

Site times out, then upon refresh I get this:

Invalid $idname specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the webmaster.

I'm a senior member and have had no trouble up until this past week. Some assistance would be appreciated. I'd hate to stop coming to the forums.

OK, so I'm not the only one. I thought maybe it had something to do with being new, or a browser setting (although that didn't seem very likely).

A tip for all of you. My new postings only work now if I select the "remember me" box when I log in, try that.

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/bikef/public_html/includes/class_core.php on line 2987I've been trying to post for about 2 hours. No problems with replying, but new posts aren't working well.

The server was recently upgraded and there have been technical problems on and off for a week or two. I think they're steadily improving.

I was just about to start a thread about this, trying to start a new thread in the mountain biking section hasn't been working for about a month for me.

And as posted, I get this:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/bikef/public_html/includes/functions_search.php on line 196

Do you know how to clear out your cookies? Try clearing your cookies, and logging back in, check "remeber me" when logging in.

Did that work?

Joe-

It happened to me too, but only sometimes. If the thread took more than 30 seconds to post onto the forums, then I'd get some kind of fatal error message. If the thread appeared instantly, then it would post with no problems.

I have no idea what the problem is. :(

Yeah, this one is confusing to me. I'm going to contact one of the software developers and see if they can help me de-bug it.

I think in the Mtb forum (or maybe BMX? One or the other) you'll see a good example of this. One member titled their thread "Test". If they tried to add a title, the title took too long to post, and you get the failure message. I tried to change the title myself from the "Test" to the one he wanted, but I got the same "fatal error" message as the guy in post #10 too. It's strange, because your thread will post, but you cannot add a title.

Just a heads up.

I did that, and now it runs really smoothly. :)
