Time and time again, I see people asking what kind of inexpensive track frame they should purchase. I'm pretty impressed with this one I found on probikekit.com. They're a europe based wholesaler that often compete with component prices in the US due to import taxes. (no import taxes if they ship to you, versus an importer). Well anyway

The company is called "prorace" and while they sound a bit cheasy and I've never heard of them, the craftsmenship looks nice from what I can tell. Maybe someone knows more about them
it weighs 3lbs, but includes a 700 gram alloy fork (carbon will get you down to 300-500 grams)
it's $370 shipped and includes a headset, seatpost, and fork.

Now that I've created this entire thread, I think you can buy a bianchi pista concept for about $420 frame + fork but that was a random quote from a random bikeshop.

That's the same frame (without compact geometry) as this (http://www.chucksbikes.com/store/fr076a.htm), which is made in the same factory as this (http://www.fujibikes.com/2006/bikes.asp?id=138).

I would actually take the one you posted over those other two for the following reasons: price, compact geometry (stiffer, lighter), comes with HS installed, slightly shorter chainstays (385mm vs 404mm), and it looks less ugly. Thanks for the tip!
