I inherited a 33.8 mm FSA K-wing, but have a standard EA50 stem. Can I use the K-wing without getting a new stem?

It's a joke. I.e: are you strong enough to force the oversized bar into the not so large clamp?

So, there are multiple standards for clamp diamter in handlebars.
25.4mm - most flat bars, and cheaper or older road bars, some moustache bars
26.0mm - standard road drop bars, some moustache bars
26.4mm - some Cinelli drop bars, no longer produced but stuff is still floating around
31.8mm - "oversized" clamp diameter - I assume this is what your handlebar is, not 33.8
26.0mm bars forced into a 25.4mm stem already doesn't work well - kinda crushes the bar at the clamp point, and weakens it. 31.8mm has no chance of workably fitting into a 26.0mm stem. You should buy a stem with 31.8mm clamp, designed for that sized handlebar clamp.
