Hi all,
I will be going to Albuquerque NM for 2 weeks during the Christmas Holiday. I'm going to have a bike (or two) with me and a bunch of time to ride. I do pretty much all types of riding, so if you want to drag me along on a trail or a road, or know of any good (fast) group rides in the area, let me know - thanks.

A roadie possibility. I never got to cycle it, but I was wishing... north of Albequerque there's a road that goes west up over Jemez (say hay-mess) Mesa, past Las Alamos (of Manhattan project fame) and circles back down to Albequerue. There's a little state park, Bandolier, that has some Anasazi ruins and what not, that'd make a good point of departure for an out-and-back. Anyhow, Jemez Mesa is a big, extinct volcano, so you climb up and then all of a sudden you reach a crest and look down into a big flat cove of farms and grazing cattle, that used to be the cauldron. It's pretty high, so it might be snow covered (or closed!) in the winter. And the road is narrow and windy... traffic might be a problem.

Have a great trip!
