hi all,

I saw a Nashbar big tool kit for sale on craigslist for 30 dollars. It has red plastic covers on some of the tools so I assume that this is the old "big tool kit" since the new ones currently on sale have blue plastic covers. Can anyone tell me about the quality of Nashbar branded tools? Folks who own these tool kits, where are they made? I emailed the seller but he didn't answer my question directly. I'm in the market for bike tools in general, so anyone who knows a good place where I can get quality tools for cheap....please impart your wisdom. :beer:

i believe these tools are made by 'lifu', they manufacture most of the tools branded for performance, nashbar, supergo..blah blah blah. definitely budget tools, with these you get what you pay for. park and pedros are a lot more pricey, for a reason. lshop quality durability. ooking at the set that i have, i wish that i just sprung for nice ones from the get go, rather than what i did -- buying the cheap set, and later upgrading to a nice park set.
