Bicycle Mechanics - italian threaded fork with an ISO headset?

i have been researching around but i keep getting conflicting information on this... i've heard that italian dimensions are fairly interchangable with ISO (with the exception of BB of course) but i also heard that the thread angle is different, 60* vs 55* my specific concern is putting a fork with italian threads on a bike that already has an ISO headset. is that a problem? i would think it might be, and i've heard from some not to do it, but i hear from others that it'll be fine???

As you noted, the thread's included angles are slightly different and it's considered a "Class B" fit. Nevertheless, they work interchangably in the real world. As Sheldon said, do it.
