i got mine today and it is amazing. But i noticed that the gears next to the pedal have little chips or bends in them at the side. does anyone else have this. is this normal? please help me.

I think that's normal, to help the gear pick up the chain, you should have the same bends on all your other gears/cogs I think.

Yeah, modern chainrings (the gears near your pedals) have bulges or ramps to make shifting smoother. Some teeth are intentionally "chipped". Those are there to help the chain get up onto the chainring.

it shifts fine. so that is normal then. as i only got it yesterday
