Has anyone used the J&G touring shorts? http://www.bicycleclothing.com/Mens-Touring-Shorts.html

Looking to see how comfy they really are and how the matierial holds up. The price is really good.

I've used them. I like them a lot, they are just baggy enough so that you can comfortably wear them off the bike, but not so baggy that they get in the way of peddling. The padding is just a piece of fleece that is probably not quite as good as a pair of high quality lycra shorts with a chamois, but it has provided enough comfort for me. I've only had them for a few months so far and the materials are fine, I wouldn't expect them to disintegrate any time soon.

No padding, huh? I guess I'll just buy 1 set and try them. Thanks dbuzi123, for your comments. I wanted a set of baggy shorts like these for on/off bike use, so maybe if I wear my lycra set under them. Ive tried baggy mnt bike shorts and they seem heavy and a bit too warm to wear. If anyone has any suggestions--please fire away!

They have some padding, but not a full blown technical chamois pad. I'd give them a try, they've worked out well for me.
