I was in Culver City yesterday for a soccer tournament and right behind the fields the soccer matches were on was a bikepath, paved. I was told it was the one along Ballona Creek/wash/river.
Where does this Ballona path run to/from? And is the pronunciation spanish, like ba-yon-a or with the full "Ls" as bal-lon-a?
There sure were alot of cyclists there yesterday. I saw cruisers, mountain-style bikes, an up right, mountain style tandem, an upright recumbent style tandem, a slung-low recumbant style tandem, a tadpole trike, box store bikes. . . there were alot of people out riding.
I kept kicking myself, because I had almost loaded my bike and gear in the bus the night before so I could get a little riding in while my husband refereed, but I didn't. Dang! And today at our house it is freakin' cold --at least for southern California in April.
