Mountain Biking - I Finally got My BH Comp! Whooo!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I'll get some good action hucking pics here soon. I just got to convince my parental units to allow the camera ($1000 Sony Mavica.... ) to be taken on the trails. I want to get some good action pics SOO BAD.
Anyway, I'll get some soon.
Thanks for all the kind words guys. :p

(reflectors) I was gonna say...
DUDE! The whole reason to have a camera is to take pictures right? And why would you spend so much money on a camera that just takes pictures? Because it has the (potential) to take REALLY good pictures! And, how do you take really good pictures? By taking that camera everywhere with you and shooting and shooting and shooting some more. They're not all gonna be on the cover of BIKE, but you will get some great shots eventually. Just take the camera one day, get some killer shots, and then show them to the parents. They'll soon admit that you were right, maybe even pay for you to go to art school! (wait, that's me...)
(borrow) the mavica!
Mike
Congrats!
Yeah, why MTBK?

haha. you guys.
trying to convince my parents to allow me to take the Mavica on trails is like trying to tell the bank teller to hand over the cash without ever calling the cops. It just it ain't gunna' happen.. lol.
Oh well.
I got ONE mid-air shot of me this weekend... (my friend took it). It figures.. he took the shot on my WEAKEST attempt. The "bridge" that I was jumping I completely cleared.. and he got my lowest shot. Oh well. When those pictures get developed I'll scan em' in.

SSOOOOOO.... you had time to put stickers on your new bike, but not enough to take off the reflectors huh??? I see where your priorities are...
Take the Camera! (easier to ask for forgiveness than permission...)

One warning with that bike. The bolt on the top of the shock tends to stick out just enough to scrape your leg. I would suggest putting some type of rubber cap on the nut side.
Other then that it is a sweet rig. Enjoy it and ride the piss out of it. I have a friend who rides one and does 10' drops almost every day and the bike has held up so far.

Whoa! Hey Kustomz.. you're here in KC? KICK ASS dude.
my website is: http://kc-freeriders.cjb.net
make sure to scope it out for updates and what not.
I ride mostly with the guys from www.freeride-mtb.com
I ride Minor Park, Shawnee Mission Park (every other day), I ride Lawrence River Trails, and Clinton Lake Trails.
I try to vary my rides as much as possible. I do a lot of Urban / Skate park rides too. I do a little bit of everything. I enjoy doing lotsa' stuff instead of being plastered to "just XC". hehe
I'm 17 years old, so if you don't mind riding with a youngin' or two... you're more then welcome to come down here and tear it up with me sometime. I live in LENEXA, which is right next to Overland Park / Olathe.
Here's a few QUICK PICS my bro took of me foolin around out front while I was tuning my fork... and while we were waiting on the fellas so we could go hit up the trails.
(trail pics to come soon.. they need to be developed).

Thanks MrMikee.
I worked my ASS off for it.
I'm 17, and I paid every DIME of it.
I buy all my riding gear, bikes, and equipment by myself.
I believe that one should pay his own way in anything possible.
I pay for my car, my bike(s), my Radio Control stuff, my electronics, and my computer.

I almost won a P1 at the bikeshop christmas party last night, but the kid who won it sort of deserved it, he went to college this year and it will make a sweet college bike. I am planning on getting a P1, maybe a 2.
