Anyone here have a Catrike, or a Sidewinder? My wife loves both of theese. Sidewinder $1400, Catrike $2250. From RBR Recumbent bicycles, in State College Pa. Any info would be great. Thank you!

Are those the only two you are considering? "Any Info" is rather general, is there anything specific that you need to know, such as handling, speed, etc? You'll probably get a few responses about the Catrike, but I don't think there are nearly as many people who own a Sidewinder.

My wife rode probably 10 diffirent bikes, but loves the sidewinder, the catrike was her 2nd favorite. I am wondering how they would hold up over time, and others opinions.

What model of Catrike are you looking at? You could visit the board at www.catrike.com and ask there, but most everyone rides a Catrike there.
Some of the people over there have put on quite a few miles(over 10,000) and still love 'em. It may really depend on what kind of riding she's going to do.
I have an 05 Road. Only have about 300 miles on it so far. But so far so good. I'm very happy with it. Just a hint too, they have a for sale area too. You may be able to find a lightly used one.

I've neither trike but have seen and spoken to several Catrike owners who are very pleased. Both trikes are tadpole design but they are very different in their steering geometry. The rear-wheel steering of the Sidewinder can make donut turns, which can be fun in themselves, but I've heard that rear wheel trail can be harrowing at high speeds (wheel flap possibly leading to instablility.) If your wife does not intend to race or speed down hills I suppose that's not an issue. I'm sure both trikes are fun to ride at low to medium speeds, though.
