Introductions - Hello from Kansas

Hi. I'm 25, long time biking fan, but new to road/competitive cycling. As a youngster I was into the bmx type of riding, which I still enjoy watching when it is on TV. Even attended a 2-Hip King of Vert show, circa the late '80s.

I purchased a cheapo, no-suspension mountain bike to ride to classes during college. Began riding more and more after finishing college, recently fitting some road friendly tires and clipless pedals on the MTB. Am looking to purchase a road bike for next year.

Regarding the picture in my profile, that is actually me in the white hat... I had a conveniently timed business trip to the big apple in early August. :D

I'm in Overland Park, near JCCC. With Indian Creek bike/hike going by my place, that is where I usually ride.

What kind of riding do you do?

I do just about anything... trail riding, xc, freeriding, urban... anything.

I USED to race... back in 97-98' .. but I didn't have FUN doing it.. so I stopped..

As far as my ankle goes... only 1 more week and it'll be outta the air-cast! (YAY!)

I'm trying to work my upper-body as much as I can while I'm "down for the count" on "hard" rides.

ANyway... how old R ya man?

I'm 17... but a lot of my friends are over 20... so don't think I'm some dumb little kid.... hehe.

Anyway... I'd like to keep in contact bro. Lets ride sometime.
