I'm really sorry if this is a bit redundant but I tried searching the forums and good ol google with no luck.
Basically, I want to use Ultegra 8-speed bar end shifters on my 7 speed bicycle with what I am assuming are MTB gears. Harris Cyclery's website says I should not have any problem with 7-speeds and I am using Rivendell Albatross handlebar (http://www.rivendellbicycles.com/webalog/handlebars_stems_tape/16127.html) that fits into MTB clamps(25.4). The handlebar accepts bar end shifters. I just have no idea if this will be compatible with my SIS 7 speed rear X 3 speed for the front ones.
