I built up a bike as my wifes wedding present. It's a Vernon Barker 531 hybrid, and is very nice. One of the reasons it's very nice is that I got it resprayed from the less than fetching applegreen/met-purple it once was. But after a week or so of riding, I've noticed quite a few chips in the paint work.
How can I combat these chips? Is there a way of covering them? Can I make the reast of the paintwork more chip resistant?
So far as I am aware, the frame was stove enamelled. Is that kind of paint notorious for this, or is it possible that the paint forgot to lacquer it?
