I still can't really ride since my accident at the April 1 alleycat. Do people need people to work checkpoints?
BTW: I recommend these (http://sheldonbrown.com/lirpa.html#bayonetz) for idiot pedestrians.

I was gonna post this in the other thread or even make a new one, but this will do.
WTF is up with the blurb in the New York Metro Magazine Intelligencer section?
I opened my girl's copy and see these roadies in full kit with a mention of the Dumbo Scramble. So I go to her "no ****ing way, that's us they are talking about....you know messenger bags, shants, beer...wtf is this?";)
seriously how did you pull that one off?

wtf?
It's possible that there is a USCF (or similar) race in DUMBO called "DUMBO Scramble."
EDIT: Didn't see the date. Yeah that's really whiskey tango foxtrot.

genericbikedude, yes. i believe checkpoint volunteers are still needed, check with ch0mb0 or just read through the other DUMBO thread. and thanks in advance, this is gonna be fun.
wtf?
indeed...?!? I'm more curious as to why they collaged part of Rockefeller center into "DUMBO".

who authorized that? and why did they put roadies in there... I know we said all are welcome, but we don't want that sh*t confused for a crit.
It looks like they're racing on the high line... WTF???
ch0mb0, you know anything about this?
my guess is that the collage is something about this weeks' news or whatever. The high line is going to be a "park in the sky". They just started work on it this week.

I love the highline and the firms involved in the design... I just hope the city won't f**k it up like they did with some many other projects with potential.
Maybe some cool hunter working for the magazine has infiltrated BF and is trying to draw punx into their readership, but got mixed signals from Paris-Roubaix, bad streets, bikes, and pie.
all this means to me now is that we should be able to be getting GIANT f***ing sponsors for races like this & donate the money to the NYBMFoundation or the BMEF. Very, very interesting. I wonder who put this in there, and where they found out about it.

I'm still waiting to figure out how they can build 4,000 two-million-dollar condos up on the highline... Isn't that required for parks nowadays?
