Hello all - I just joined. A member of another net forum to which I belong tipped me off about this forum. My wife and I started road cycling about 3 years ago, after we moved to the DC area from the left coast (and mountains). We'd been avid mountain bikers for years, but the geography here is not as favorable for mountain biking. So we bought a couple cheap road bikes to see if we liked it and we decided we do. So we just took the plunge this month and got some *real* road bikes. My wife got a Trek 2200, and I got a Trek 5000. What a difference! We are definitely converted (although we do both sometimes miss the thrills of mountain biking) and plan on riding a lot more on our new scoots! Looking forward to getting to know the community!
