I just saw "One Got Fat" (http://webdev.archive.org/movies/details-db.php?collection=prelinger&collectionid=03534) , a 60's vintage bike safety film that melds jolly narrative with distinctly disturbing visuals.

Here's another review (http://home.attbi.com/~onegotfat/).

Any of you older forum members see this in school? Did it give you nightmares?

I haven't seen it. It takes too long to download. But from the descriptions of the movie it sounds downright freaky! I wish I had broadband.

I've seen this. It is a hoot. Surreal, morbid, and truly funny.

Highly recommended.

I watched the first 5 min or so...

the narrator said, that they all had bikes (10 kids 10 bikes), but then in a few scenes later one kid is running and another riding on someones handlebars.... so (10 kids 8 bikes)... but anyhow it's weird...

I watched it. funny. they all head for the park with lunch and only one makes it there because he follows all the traffic laws and takes care of his bike. He's the only one who isn't a monkey. But it's hilarious to see the kids just before they get into an accident, their eyes bulge out all cartoon style in an expression of horror. hilarious :D
