Some of you might remember my rant a few months back about Phil track cogs. At the time I said I'd revisit the issue once they had sorted out their production processes. They look smashing now. I tried to buy three, but they only had one of the sizes I needed.

So there you have it. They no longer look like crap. And I bought one.

Silver on the back? Or fully polished now?

Silver on the back, nice and uniform. The polished side looks sharp.

Interesting.

I just got one, polished on one side only. They're nice and everything, maybe even nice enough to make a really heavy necklace out of, but I think I'm a bit of a philistine - compared to the soma and da running on other bikes, I kind of don't really care how it looks off the bike.

Still, shiny is nice. Just polished up my hubs too; bling bling as they say.

yeah mine came with just the heat treatment on the back.

and tomity's dura ace cogs are super nice indeed.

The "silver on the back, nice and uniform" comment confused me.

i remember that someone at phil commenting that they're only polished on the front for time/cost considerations. i wonder what they'd go for fully polished.
