I had a squeeking coming from my front end (turned out to be a spacer jumpin' around), so I took everything apart. When I removed my Deda Pista bars from my stem, I realized that the back side of the handlebars is slightly deformed from the stem. I don't run my stem paul bunyun/chuck norris/andre the giant tight, just enough to not allow my bars to swing down when I put all my weight on them. Any one else have this problem? I am concerned because they are aluminum bars and I don't want them breaking on me. I'll try to put up pictures tonight.
What kind of stem are you running? Matching Deda Pista stem or?

Nah, I'm using a felt stem.
Is the face on the Deda stem wider?

Isn't the Deda pist OS...like 31.8?

yeah, it is, 31.7 from the business cycles webpage, as well as world class cycles, but I've seen 31.8 quoted elsewhere as well (Edit: Felt's website says its 31.8.)
MY felt stem is oversized, and by coincidence is the exaxt stem that they spec with the TK-2, with the deda pista bars.

A guy I ride with used a Deda stem and the steal Deda bars. When he swapped out his stem, the bars were dented in. I guess it happens. He is still riding the bars and they seem to be fine. I ride the aluminum Deda bars and have had no problems yet.

yeah, i have deda pistas with an itm millenium stem. no problems at all.
yeah, wtf is up w/ 31.7 vs. 31.8? I always assume that's a typo but are there really 2 different standards that differ by .1mm? That just seems like the worst possible idea.
I haven't noticed any issue with my deda pista stem and bars - site lists them at 31.7 each. Perhaps the Felt stem has a narrower diameter than whats listed?

31.7 and 31.8 are the exact same thing with two different names
they're really 1.25"
1.25" = 31.75mm. so one manufacturer rounds up to 31.8, another rounds down.
