I need some new tires and would like to go smaller than my current 25s, but I cross a steel bridge 2x a day. Anyone have any bad experiences with <25s?

The bridge is in relatively good condition and doesn't have any of the tire-swallowing gaps that I've read horror stories about here-- I'm mostly concerned with flats or losing control under normal conditions.

Depends on how much it rains. Wet grating is some scary stuff.

If the grating is wet, I say just walk the damned bike or shoot the sidewalk if there is one. Wet steel bridge decks scare the crap out of me.

I would think twice about going from 25 to 23 unless your 25s are worn out. I honestly can't feel that much of a difference in practice.

25's last longer as well.
